ReOrient

About

A team that has lived reorientation.

ReOrient was built by people who have each been through the thing it helps with — a deliberate career change, a life-rupture that forced a reassessment, the slow work of figuring out who you are when the old answer stops working.

Marco G. Morelli, PsyD

Licensed Clinical Psychologist · Co-Founder & Lead Architect

Marco brings a whole-person approach to helping people work and live at their full capacity. Grounded in years of clinical practice, he integrates the somatic, psychological, relational, and systemic — honoring the full complexity of a person rather than treating the presenting problem alone. In his private practice, he uses an integrative, relational approach to help people reconcile old patterns and unlock the capacity that is already there. That clinical work is the source of truth for ReOrient: it translates the same logic — the relational trust that lets someone believe in themselves again — into tools built for a wider audience.

Earlier in his career he worked in some of the harder corners of the field: a 24-hour suicide and crisis line, inpatient psychiatric units, trauma recovery with refugees and asylum seekers, and an Ebola treatment unit in Liberia. Today he works in chronic-pain rehabilitation and in longer-term psychotherapy with adults — on career and life path, relationships, and health.

Jess Heron

Co-Founder · Technology & Business

Jess is Owner & CEO of eSignature Guarantee, a fintech company he acquired in 2025 after a deliberate five-year search for the right thing to build — a reorientation of his own career, done on purpose. Before that, a decade at Ripple, Circle, and Pivotal, building the technical systems that make software work at scale; and eleven years framing houses before tech. He built ReOrient’s technical architecture, and understands complex systems deeply enough to make them work better.

The through-line, in his words: “Building things — sometimes with code, sometimes with words, sometimes with my hands.”

Jessica Abou Jaoude

Co-Creator · Experience & Design

Jessica built a strong early career as an interior designer, competing in a field dominated by professionals twice her age. A cancer diagnosis interrupted that trajectory and forced a full reassessment of how she wanted to live and work — which led her to yoga as both practice and purpose. She specialized in oncology yoga and now works directly with cancer patients, translating lived experience into embodied, supportive healing. She brings a deep understanding of survivorship, identity rebuilding, and the human realities of career change after major disruption — making sure ReOrient addresses not just the practical choices, but the transitions underneath them.

Ahmet Hamdi Özkurt

Lead Engineer

Ahmet is a software engineer focused on building AI systems that turn complex ideas into useful, human experiences — spanning backend architecture, artificial intelligence, mobile applications, and the infrastructure needed to bring ambitious products from an idea into production. At ReOrient he leads the technical side of the product, building the systems that let the Guide, its underlying knowledge, and the user’s experience work together reliably. His background in AI, multi-agent architectures, and full-stack development gives him a particular interest in the space where intelligent systems meet real human needs.

In his words: “The best technology is not the technology people notice. It is the architecture underneath that makes an experience feel simple, responsive, and trustworthy.”

Where this is going

At its core the approach is trust between people.

Beyond the app and the papers, ReOrient is growing toward in-person work — retreats, and dyads, two people walking the approach together — and, in time, a place to do it. That work is still ahead of us. If it calls to you, leave your name.
